Vivo runs on NEX 5 concept smartphone with sub-screen camera, Snapdragon 888 chip and ZEISS optics


According to three Chinese insiders from the Weibo social network, Vivo is working on a new concept smartphone of the NEX line.

What is known

The device, according to the leak, will be called NEX 5. It will receive a large 6.67-inch display with rounded edges and a front camera built under the screen with a 32 MP sensor. The panel will be produced by LG Display.

Under the hood, the devices should install the top-end Snapdragon 888 chipset and a 4500 mAh battery. One source claims that it will support 66W fast charging and 40W wireless charging, while another will support 120W and 60W charging, respectively.

As for the main camera, it is credited with the main sensor. Samsung GN2 and 50MP ultra wide-angle lens. Also, the novelty will be able to boast of German ZEISS optics and IP68 water and dust protection.

When to expect

There is no exact date for the release of Vivo NEX 5 yet, but rumor has it that the smartphone will be presented in the second half of this year.
