Witness in Netanyahu trial dies in plane crash

Haim Giron was supposed to testify in the corruption process against Israel’s ex-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Now Giron and his wife have had a fatal accident.

According to information from Israel, a witness was killed in a trial against ex-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when a small plane crashed in Greece. The victims of the crash were Haim and Esther Giron, a 69-year-old couple from Tel Aviv, said the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Haim Giron, former vice director of the communications ministry, was due to testify in a trial involving Netanyahu.

Witness claims to have heard two explosions
