Yuri Kashinsky will fight for the WBA Super first heavyweight title

Russian heavyweight boxer Yuri Kashinsky (19-1) will fight for the WBA super champion title. The reigning champion Arsen Gulamiryan (26-0) will be his rival. The fight will take place on December 13th in France in the city of Le Cannet and will be the main event of the evening.

Gulamiryan made his professional debut in 2011 and became a regular WBA heavyweight champion 7 years later. After that, he won the right to fight for the title of super champion of the organization and won an early victory over Australian Mark Flanagan. The fight with Kashinsky will be his third belt defense and the 27th fight in his career.

Kashinsky is in the tenth line of the WBA rating and was chosen by the French side as a contender. This is a great chance for him – exactly a year ago, Kashinsky fought in an IBF qualifying match, but lost by decision, stopping a step away from the fight for the main title. The Russian boxer has 19 victories (17 early) with one defeat.

Note that at various times the title of super champion in cruisers was held by Alexander Usik, Murat Gassiev and Denis Lebedev.
